I can’t be the only one feeling the cold and wanting to hide under the duvet. Or planning my holiday for next year and dreaming of those ootd summer outfits. It’s time for a little throwback to my summer holiday, so we can all imagine a bit of sunshine for a second. Let’s take ourselves to another climate and feel the benefits.
I’ve always taken pictures of myself during my previous holidays when we got dressed up for the evening. This time, the focus was solely on my little one. There is no actual getting ready time when you have a three-year-old running around your hotel room. Luckily we had my parents with us to ensure I could have a little cheeky drink, a picture session and a quicker-than-usual get-ready routine.
Let’s take ourselves back to the summer – slow days, lots of vitamin D & calm vibes
We all know you spend your days in swimwear and not much else when you’re in the sunshine. So the evening is a chance to get dressed up and go out to eat. Something you probably wouldn’t do much of at home. Especially in a cost of living crisis. I am forever thankful we got to go on this holiday!
A little pause
Let’s all take a moment to bask in a lovely memory you have of the sunshine in the garden or a holiday. We don’t have long to wait until next summer. And in the meantime, you can always access your wonderful, happy memories. Transport yourself there!
I’ve decided to share my little ones’ outfits with you & some of the pictures we took on those great nights out!
Before we got ready each evening, I laid out her clothes on the bed, she played in the shower for a while and I took these pictures. I am so glad I did because it’s great to look back on her cute little outfits.
As you can see, she has quite a chilled style and used to say no to dresses when she was really little. In the interest of “dressing up”, she will now put on a dress (how cute is the dress picture?). I think the dressing-up box at the nursery helped us with that and I’ve since created a small dress-up section in her bedroom.
